Pallet-Moving AMRs
ForwardX Robotics

ForwardX Robotics will present its ForwardX Max Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) at the Package Fulfillment, Logistics & Delivery Expo.

A lot of attention has been given to how material handling can be automated for piece-load goods, while solutions at the case and pallet level have largely been neglected. ForwardX Max AMRs bring the well-established swarming method of piece-picking to the larger and heavier items, cases, or pallets for e-commerce and distribution workflows.

In the company’s own words, AMRs are the most flexible form of automation, requiring no infrastructure change nor downtime and are quick to deploy. ForwardX Max AMRs come equipped with payload capacities ranging from 1,322–2,645lbs, comprehensive safety functions and lift capabilities making them suitable for a variety of different workflows.

E-commerce company, JD Logistics (JDL), has already used a ForwardX Max solution for both B2B retail store replenishment and B2C e-commerce fulfillment. The flagship project consisted of Max 600 AMRs that helped JDL reach a 2.16x increase in productivity and reduce high labor turnover. Since then, more than 20 projects of this nature have been deployed with JDL.

ForwardX Robotics is a global technology leader in the fields of AI and Robotics. Through its flexible automation platform comprising of intelligent mobile robots and AI-enabled software, ForwardX delivers material handling solutions for warehousing and manufacturing facilities that offer better performance at a better value.
