Rice Lake Weighing Systems will present its long freight dimensioning solution iDimension LTL XL and its tabletop dimensioning solution iDimension Plus.
iDimension LTL XL systems can capture measurements of pallets and crates in less than 2 seconds. With eight sensors, the iDimension LTL XL records measurements that are legal for trade on freight up to 12ft long, 8ft wide and 8ft tall. With a solid-state design and no moving parts, these systems require minimal maintenance and are easily integrated into less-than-truckload shipping (LTL) freight handling environments. TCP/IP cameras can also capture high-resolution images of freight to enable identification, condition assessment and tracking.
Using iDimension SS for software integration, the iDimension LTL XL has been designed to easily transfer shipment data to existing ERP, MRP, TMS and WMS systems. Additionally, a TCP/IP label printer can be added to print freight data, including weight, dimensions, identification number and configurable user fields. Overall, iDimension LTL XL systems increase efficiency by reducing the extra time and risk of error with manual measurements.
Rice Lake’s iDimension Plus is a fast tabletop solution for calculating dimensions of boxes. This solution reduces revenue loss by providing accurate dimensional weight calculations required by parcel and postal carriers. There are configurable modes to measure flats, polybags, tubes and irregular shaped packages for non-approved application in 1cm or 2cm increments. The solution automatically measures parcels and packages in 0.2 seconds. iDimension Plus also now offers the option of a 4k camera to obtain high resolution image capturing. The fast and accurate iDimension Plus measurements decrease the risk of human error.
