Presentation

"Door wars" – crossing the threshold

Completing 'the last mile' of an e-commerce shipment’s journey is clearly a great achievement. But the job isn’t really done until the goods are securely held in the consumer’s hands! Simply leaving a parcel on the doorstep may not be enough, as it all too often ends up as 'porch pirate' booty. In this session, the magnitude and risk of shipment loss will be examined, while methods of prevention will be presented - including alternative delivery locations, locker-banks, smart porch lockers and inventive new methods for 'crossing the threshold' to deposit shipments securely within the customer’s home.
