Tim Sweeney

Tim Sweeney is Director of Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace at JobsOhio. He provides leadership in understanding industry trends and creating innovative strategies to attract companies and jobs in advanced manufacturing, aerospace and aviation sectors. He has experience working in various high technology industries in support of advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and defense programs. Previously, he worked in satellite, launch vehicle, defense, and transportation industries. Tim has 36 years of manufacturing experience in the aerospace and defense industry, having worked for major defense contractors, including L-3Harris, Raytheon and Texas Instruments. His industry experience includes manufacturing of space products for NASA’s Artemis launch vehicle, Mars Landers/Rovers, ISS communications test bed and climate satellite programs. He previously supported the manufacturing of U.S. Army’s High Mobility Trailer, Javelin Missile Command Launcher, Predator drone ground control station, Avenger and Chaparral FLIR systems. Tim earned his MBA from City University-Seattle and his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University
